Crawford, who is 16-9-2 with a .929 save percentage in 28 games, was placed on injured reserve Wednesday and will miss at least a week with an upper-body injury. He missed three games with a lower-body injury in early December but returned to win five straight before losing the past two games. He was pulled after allowing three goals on seven shots in a 4-1 loss at the New Jersey Devils on Dec. 23.
Forsberg is 1-4-3 with a .909 save percentage in 11 appearances (eight starts). He played 46:38 in relief of Crawford against New Jersey but hasn't started since a 6-2 loss at the Washington Capitals on Dec. 6.
Goalie Jacob Markstrom starts for the Canucks, who are 1-7-1 in their past nine games and will try to avoid losing five in a row for the first time since they lost their final eight games last season.

Chicago forward Patrick Kane has eight points (five goals, three assists) in his past six games.
Vancouver rookie Brock Boeser has scored a goal in three straight games and has 12 points (nine goals, three assists) in his past 12 games.

Status report

Franson will miss his seventh straight game but is practicing and coach Joel Quenneville said he is close to returning. Kampf, 22, was called up from Rockford of the American Hockey League along with Glass on Wednesday. He had 17 points (seven goals, 10 assists) in 30 AHL games. … Tanev skated Thursday but doesn't want to risk further injury by coming back too soon.
