Stamkos is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Coach Jon Cooper said that there are no long-term concerns and he is being held out for maintenance purposes. After missing 64 games last season with a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee last season, Stamkos is second on the Lightning with 86 points (27 goals, 59 assists).
The Lightning lead the Atlantic Division by two points over the Boston Bruins, who have played one fewer game.
Arizona, eliminated from playoff contention, is 13-7-2 in its past 21 games but has lost four of its past six.
Lightning goalie Louis Domingue, who played 84 games for the Coyotes from 2014-18, will start.
