Ducks goaltender John Gibson has allowed two goals or fewer in seven of his eight games. In the loss to the Stars 12 days ago, he allowed four goals on 44 shots during two periods, including 30 shots in the second period.
Stars defenseman John Klingberg has five goals in eight games after scoring eight last season. Klingberg is tied for the NHL lead in goals by a defenseman with John Carlson of the Washington Capitals. He had a goal and an assist in the previous game against Anaheim.
