Nashville, Tenn. (February 21, 2022) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has recalled forward Matt Luff from Milwaukee (AHL). Additionally, the team has reassigned forward Cole Smith to the Admirals.

Luff, 24 (5/5/97), has skated in 10 games for the Predators this season, with his most recent appearance coming on Jan. 27 at Edmonton. In his first season with the Nashville organization, the 6-foot-2, 196-pound forward has posted three points (1g-2a), including his first goal as a member of the Predators on Jan. 6 at Los Angeles, his former team. Luff is producing at more than a point-per-game rate with Milwaukee in 2021-22, recording 31 points (14g-17a) in 30 contests, and he's established an AHL career high in goals while also matching his career-best mark in points, initially set in 2018-19 with Ontario. He has seven points (3g-4a) in his last five games with the Admirals.
Undrafted, Luff has skated in 74 career NHL games, the first 64 of which came with the Kings from 2018-21. He's also a veteran of 169 career AHL contests and rattled off three straight seasons with at least 24 points for Ontario from 2017-20.
