Tweetmail No. 221: Free Agents, Recovery & Streaming

Hello and welcome to Tweetmail, a weekly feature on Hurricanes.com in which I take your Twitter questions about the Carolina Hurricanes or other assorted topics and answer them in mailbag form. Hopefully the final product is insightful to some degree, and maybe we have some fun along the way.
Let's get to it.

The Hurricanes currently have four restricted free agents who have yet to be re-signed: forward Saku Maenalanen, defensemen Trevor Carrick and Roland McKeown and goaltender Anton Forsberg.
Forsberg, who received his qualifying offer from Chicago before being traded to Carolina in late June, has an arbitration hearing scheduled for Aug. 4. A contract for him, then, will probably get taken care of within the next week or so.
I'd expect Maenalanen and McKeown to be signed at some point, while Carrick's future could go either way.
Look around the league, though, and there is certainly a glut of unsigned restricted free agents. I would not be surprised in the least to see a few of those players drag their negotiations into the regular season, similar to William Nylander's situation a year ago. Sebastian Aho very likely could have co-headlined that group, but Montreal helped wrap that up in short order. Merci.

Erik Haula, acquired from Vegas on June 27, should be ready to roll for Opening Night. He suffered a knee injury in early November, causing him to miss the balance of the Golden Knights' season. Had they killed off an unfortunately incorrect major penalty (or, at least not allowed four goals) in Game 7 against San Jose, Haula might have returned in the second round.
Haula has put in the work, and he's ready to go. Head Athletic Trainer Doug Bennett gave some excellent insight on Haula and the process of evaluating his medical history in a trade like this around the 20:40 mark of

Bennett also touched on Trevor van Riemsdyk and his recovery from shoulder surgery in the
same episode
(26:10). We'll likely get a better idea of when he might return once training camp opens in mid-September, but it should be noted that when he had the surgery in the first few days of May, the expected recovery time was
4-6 months

Justin Williams' future is still to be decided - something that should get rectified in the next couple of weeks, I'd think - but in the event that he doesn't return, I can only hope that the Storm Surge lives on.
That decision, however, will have to be made by the leadership group in the locker room. I hope Williams is back. I hope the Surge is back. I hope and wish that more teams would embrace fun and the joy surrounding playing a game and winning said game.
I'm in. I vote a resounding yes on more of the Storm Surge.

Toronto is one city where I don't think we've quite cracked the culinary code. The Corned Beef House used to be our go-to lunch spot in the city, but that location has since been shuttered. Barberian's Steak House is a classic if you want a nice steak, and Pizzeria Libretto has tasty pies. I haven't explored much else aside from your usual Moxie's, Earls, etc. establishments. I wish I could be of more help.

Great question, Mr. President. In no particular order, here's a collection of programs (and a couple of movies) I've streamed since the end of the season.
That turned into a much longer list than I expected. There are too many things.
