Before scattering across the globe for the summer, several members of the Carolina Hurricanes trekked to Chapel Hill on Wednesday to tour the University of North Carolina's men's basketball facilities and shoot hoops at the Dean Smith Center.
The afternoon began with a light shootaround on Roy Williams Court.
Head coach Roy Williams strolled onto the court and introduced himself to the group. "You're my uncle, right?" Justin Williams joked.
Roy Williams was then presented with a team-signed Hurricanes jersey.
An afternoon at the Dean Dome isn't complete without a little basketball. There were a couple of one-on-one battles and a pair of four-on-four Hurricanes intrasquad games (note: Jordan Staal, tough to contain both on the ice and on the court), while UNC's Andrew Platek, Brandon Huffman, Sterling Manley and Walker Miller looked on, impressed with the basketball acumen they were witnessing, no doubt.
The afternoon in Chapel Hill wrapped with a tour of the facilities, including the Tar Heel's locker room, weight room, film room, player's lounge and, of course, the shoe wall.
