About the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation
The
Carolina Hurricanes Foundation
provides funding to children's nonprofits with a health or education focus throughout North Carolina. Since the Foundation's inception in 1997, more than $16 million has been donated in cash grants and in-kind support to youth-serving organizations. As the charitable arm of the Carolina Hurricanes, the Foundation takes pride in being a part of the community both on and off the ice. Throughout the year, the Foundation raises funds through annual special events, in-game auctions, mystery fundraisers and generous direct donations. The funds raised are awarded to nonprofits in the community via an annual grant process. The Foundation awards monetary grants at three levels: Future Canes, Game Changer and GOAL.
