The Nashville Predators' longest road trip of the season is here in the form of a six-game excursion beginning in Detroit (tonight at 6:30 p.m. CT).
The Preds (24-15-2) have won their last two contests, including a 4-0 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, to end a six-game losing streak. Nashville claimed forward Phillip Di Giuseppe from Carolina on waivers on Tuesday. The 25-year-old had four points (1g-3a) in 21 games with the Hurricanes this season and could make his Preds' debut tonight on the fourth line.
Detroit (15-20-7) has dropped six in a row. Out of the lineup since Dec. 2, forward Anthony Mantha is expected to return to the Red Wings' bench tonight.
The Predators held an optional morning skate at Little Caesars Arena on Friday and were joined by Filip Forsberg (Injured Reserve), Colton Sissons (IR) and Yannick Weber (IR). Below is a projected lineup based on Thursday's practice in Nashville:
