After collecting seven out of a possible eight points during a four-game stay in Nashville, the Predators are back on the road for three outings, beginning tonight in Arizona with a meeting against the Coyotes at Gila River Arena. The Preds are 1-0-1 this season against the Coyotes with both of those meetings coming in the month of January.
With a win over the Jets on Tuesday, the Predators reached the 100-point mark for the sixth time in franchise history, doing so in just 69 games, making it the quickest Nashville has ever attained the feat. The Preds enter tonight's contest tied with Tampa Bay in points, but Nashville sits first overall in the League standings because of their game in hand over the Lightning.
Update: Predators forward Calle Jarnkrok
will miss the remainder of the regular season
with an upper-body injury.

"With the frequency that we play, the standings and the points change every day," Preds forward Austin Watson said following Tuesday's win. "It's something that's a point of emphasis for us. We want to be as good as we possibly can be to finish the regular season out, and tonight was a big step in the right direction."

Last Time Out:
Austin Watson and Viktor Arvidsson scored two shorthanded goals in a span of 34 seconds to lead the Preds to a 3-1 win over the Jets. It marked the first time in franchise history the Predators have scored twice on the same penalty kill. Kevin Fiala also scored in the win and Pekka Rinne collected his 38th victory of the season.
Arvidsson leads the club with 26 goals and 52 points, followed by P.K. Subban with 50 points and Filip Forsberg with 49. Fiala has 22 goals on the campaign, Craig Smith has 21 and Forsberg has 18 to his name.
The Opposition:
The Coyotes sit near the bottom of the League standings but have won two straight, including a 4-3 result in a shootout over Los Angeles on Tuesday. Clayton Keller leads Arizona with 19 goals and 50 points, followed by Derek Stepan with 44 points and Oiler Ekman-Larsson with 35. Goaltender Antti Raanta has been out with injury which means the Predators will likely see either Darcy Kuemper or Adin Hill in net tonight.

The Predators are 35-26-(2)-6 all-time against the Coyotes, including a 13-16-(0)-5 record at Gila River Arena. Overall, the Preds have won nine of their last 13 games versus the Coyotes and have earned a point in four of their last six road games against Arizona (2-2-2). However, the team is seeking its first win at Gila River Arena since March 9, 2015.
