"Prior to the onset of the pandemic, Bridgestone Arena was on track for the biggest and busiest year in building history, so when we hosted Dan + Shay's back-to-back, sold-out concerts on March 6 and 7, 2020, none of us could have imagined that we would then go more than a year without filling 501 Broadway to capacity night after night," Nashville Predators President & CEO Sean Henry said. "During that time, our focus quickly shifted to keeping our community safe and healthy, and while we will always remain committed to those efforts, there is no better feeling than knowing that the coming months will see some of the greatest entertainers in the world showcasing their talents inside our building, which will once again be filled with the amazing fans who have supported us through the many highs and lows of the past 15 months."
The next 15 months will be packed with an exciting variety of concerts, shows, non-hockey sporting events and Nashville Predators games. While tomorrow's CINCH World's Toughest Rodeo will serve as the first event to utilize the updated mask and capacity guidelines, the two-show performance will also mark the first of 33 announced and 21 unannounced events taking place between now and August 2022, with countless others to be added to the schedule moving forward. Additionally, Bridgestone Arena will host Monster Jam's first full-capacity event of the summer on July 17-18, one of several tours that will celebrate that accomplishment at the venue in the coming months.
As Bridgestone Arena prepares for this impressively extensive slate of events, there is no question that the upcoming schedule will see the Pollstar Arena of the Decade nominee return to its status as one of the busiest venues in the United States and the world. This award, the winner of which will be announced on June 16, celebrates the arena that showcased superior talent booking, effective promotion, quality production values and staff, an exemplary experience for fans and artists, and consistent box office success over the last 10 years. Serving as the home for numerous national and international events, the 24-plus-year-old venue has hosted more than 25.6 million guests during that time.
With over 1 million guests set to visit Bridgestone Arena in just a year's time, proof of vaccination will not be required upon entry, but patrons who are not fully vaccinated will be expected to wear face coverings while indoors. Additionally, guests will no longer be required to complete an online symptom screening prior to attending an event at Bridgestone Arena.
Although Bridgestone Arena has lifted the mask mandate for vaccinated guests, face mask policies are subject to change on an event-by-event basis. Further information for each event can be viewed on the Ticketmaster event website, BridgestoneArena.com and social media, and pre-event emails will also contain the necessary details. Updates regarding the mask policy for the 2021-22 Nashville Predators season will be shared at a later date.
