The Penguins host the Nashville Predators in a rematch of the 2017 Stanley Cup Final as part of Pittsburgh's opening week, which is presented by RAM Trucks.

5 NOTES ON THE GAME:

1. The Pens are facing their 2017 Stanley Cup Final foe, Nashville, for the first time this season. Pittsburgh won last year's series 4-2.

2. In the 2016-17 matchup (regular and postseason) between the Pens and Preds the home team won the first 7 games, until Pittsburgh's 2-0 victory in Game 6 of the Cup Final to win the title at Bridgestone Arena.

3. Predators center Nick Bonino will face his former Penguin teammates for the first time. He jokingly told the media that he'd "love to get in Phil (Kessel's) face."

4. Pittsburgh is coming off of an embarrassing 10-1 loss in Chicago on Thursday night.

5. Pittsburgh has scored 2 5-on-3 goals this season through the first 2 games of the regular season. Pittsburgh is 2 for 7 on the power play so far (28.6%).
