Honoring a Legend

On March 7, the Panthers will send Roberto Luongo's number 1 jersey to the rafters of BB&T Center, making the former goalie the first player in franchise history to have their jersey retired.
Luongo, 40, retired from the National Hockey League on June 26, 2019, ending a 20-year playing career. The native of Montreal, Quebec, ranks second in NHL history in games played by a goaltender (1,044), third in wins (489) and ninth in shutouts (77). He is one of only three goaltenders in NHL history to have played 1,000 NHL games.
"I want to thank the entire Panthers organization for this incredible recognition," said Luongo. "It's quite an honor to be the first player to have his number retired by the Panthers. I'm truly looking forward to sharing this special night with my friends, family, teammates and the Panthers fans."

New for the 2019-20 season, fans can customize ticket plans to their schedules with brand-new Flex Plans ticket options.
The time has come for fans to find the easiest games to get to in even the busiest of schedules, from weekend plans to holiday plans and everything in between.

Why not celebrate in the best way possible and come cheer on the Cats as they take on team such as the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks and Colorado Avalanche?
The "Snowbird" Plan: This plan is designed for those who are looking to escape the winter months up North, but still get their hockey fix. Plan your day at the beach, and then cool off at the rink to watch the Panthers face off against opponents such as the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs and Vegas Golden Knights.

A Star is Born

It has already been common knowledge amongst Panthers fans, but after a breakout 2018-19 campaign, Jonathan Huberdeau is finally getting his due from around the league.
NHL Network ranked the forward 16th in their top 20 list of the top wingers in the NHL, the first time Huberdeau has cracked the top 20.

NHL Network analyst Mike Rupp feels that is Huberdeau continues to improve, his stock will not only rise but that he could be ranked among the league's best.
"He doesn't get the love," Rupp said. "I love that he gets the love here. What a season Jonathan Huberdeau had. I expect more from him. Dating back to his day in the [QMJHL], he's been a point driver. He gets points, points, points."
