Panthers to host Military Appreciation Night Nov. 10

 SUNRISE, Fla -- The Florida Panthers announced today, in conjunction with Operation Lift Hope, they will host Military Appreciation Night at the BB&T Center on Thursday, Nov. 10 vs. the San Jose Sharks at 7:30 p.m.
The Panthers will honor William Marshall as their Community Coffee Military Hero on Nov. 10. Marshall was awarded a bronze star and two purple hearts while serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq.

 "We're humbled to honor our country's service men and women who sacrifice their lives every day to keep us safe," said Panthers President & CEO Matthew Caldwell. "We hope the Panthers commitment will inspire others in our Broward County community to join us in finding a solution to help our Veteran community." 
Panthers players will wear camouflage warm-up jerseys prior to their match-up with the Sharks. Select players' warm-up jerseys will be entered into an in-game auction outside of Club Lexus. The remaining jerseys will be available in an online auction beginning on Nov. 26 at 12 a.m., and will remain on sale for two weeks at with proceeds benefitting the Florida Panthers Foundation.

Throughout the night, fans can donate $1 to the Panthers Puck for a Buck to earn a chance at winning a signed player puck or donate $1 for a chance to earn a limited edition Challenge Coin representing all the Navy SEAL teams that have served our country.
All proceeds collected as a part of the Puck for a Buck will go to the night's Community Champion, Operation Lift Hope. Operation Lift Hope's mission is to end Veteran and Family homelessness in Fort Lauderdale by uniting leaders from Fort Lauderdale businesses, government, educational institutions, faith based and social agencies in a collaborative effort to pull the community together to solve the homeless issues in our area.
Pantherland, located at the BB&T Center, will also have camouflage jerseys and hats available for sale.
Fans who show their Military ID at the BB&T Center Box Office can purchase $15 upper end tickets or $35 lower end shoot 1x (rows 16-28). This military discount is only applicable on day of game at the BB&T Center box office for one ID plus one companion. Visit for more information.
