Hey Panthers fans,
I'm writing to you from the NHL Player Media Tour in Chicago. It's basically two days of interviews, photo shoots, promotional videos and things like that. Overall, everything's gone over really smoothly so far. It's good for our team to have one player here to do all this stuff.
My brother, Sebastien, is here with me watching me go through all of the staging areas. It means a lot to have him here. It's the second time he's come with me to something like this. He's kind of the reason I started playing hockey and has been supporting me for a long time.
It's really just nice to be together. We've always gotten along with each other, so to have some days of just me and him hanging out before things get busy and the season starts is really nice.
At events like this, it's also great to meet new people and see a lot of the guys from around the league that you haven't seen all summer. With the NFL season kicking off on Thursday, a lot of us went to watch the Chicago Bears take on the Green Bay Packers, which was very fun.
The media tour is also one of my last stops before getting back to South Florida.
After a long summer, I'm really excited to get back down there. It's been a while. With all of the hype that we have and all of the additions that we made during the offseason, I'm really looking forward to stepping onto the ice for the first day of camp later this month. I'm ready to get rolling.
See you soon,
