SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced today that both Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale and Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs have a variety of ice sports for fans of all ages and skill levels to participate in year-round.
The South Florida community can sign up and participate in programs including:
- **Curling** at Baptist Health IcePlex – Anyone can register for public sessions of ‘Learn to Curl’ or book a private curling event for your company or group. This is a beginner’s class teaching people through the basics with professional instructors. All skill levels are welcome, must be 18 years of age or older and must wear sneakers/tennis shoes. Public Sessions in February include Feb. 13 (7:15 pm), Feb. 15 (7 pm), Feb. 21 (7:15 pm).
- Skating - Those looking to learn to skate can register for any session at either IcePlex or IceDen. Skaters will be evaluated by experienced coaches who will teach the basics of skating and recommend other courses once advanced. Public skating sessions are also available throughout the week and weekend at both facilities. Additionally, the IcePlex and IceDen are home to the Panthers Figure Skating Club and Team USA Figure Skater Andrew Torgashev. Anyone can sign up for private lessons with professional coaches or classes in figure skating.
- Ice Hockey - Baptist Health IcePlex and Panthers IceDen offer a variety of hockey leagues, camps and clinics for all ages and skill levels including ‘Learn to Play,’ Hockey Academy, Girls Only Hockey, Adult Hockey, Adaptive Hockey, Stick & Puck and more.
