BellLetsTalk.
You've seen the hashtags flying around the Twitterverse from athletes all over the world. But what does it mean, exactly?
The story starts over a decade ago, when Canada-based telecommunications company Bell sought to start a conversation about mental health.

Using the hashtag #BellLetsTalk in January 2011, Bell kicked off an online campaign focused on bringing awareness to mental illness and promoting action in mental health services. The premise was simple: with every post tagging #BellLetsTalk, Bell donated money to Canadian mental health initiatives.
Since then, Bell Let's Talk Day has grown to include all major social media platforms - including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok - and the resulting impacts have been incredible.
According to
their website
the total number of interactions on #BellLetsTalk posts have eclipsed 1 million, with over $100,000,000 dedicated to mental health resources.
On Bell Let's Talk Day, all posts using #BellLetsTalk, each time the official video is viewed on any platform, and on every relevant Bell wireless text or call, Bell will donate 5 cents to mental health resources.
Each year, people from all corners of the NHL and beyond seek to end the stigma swirling around mental health needs by donating and posting #BellLetsTalk.
