Benoit Pouliot's camp is coming around.
The veteran Oilers winger may have started slowly, but he is now coming off a night in which he had two assists, and played 18:00 - 5:05 of which were on the penalty kill.
"I've thought Pou has been getting better throughout camp," said Head Coach Todd McLellan. "I was disappointed in him early and he's gotten better as camp has gone on. He's got some regular linemates now and he was really engaged in the game tonight, I think because of all of his penalty-killing minutes. But he's a very valuable play to our team when he's really going."
Due to some injury roadblocks, Pouliot played just 55 games last season, scoring 14 goals and adding 22 assists for 36 points.
