THIRD PERIOD

0.0: The Oilers win the third period to tie thigns up 3-3 with the help of a 15-2 shot supremacy, but we are going to overtime in Game 2.

2:27: Ekholm can't put it away at the far side after Hyman slid it through! So close to a late potential winner for the Oilers as they continue to seek it out with all the pressure in the third.

3:09: TheOilers are buzzing right now. Hyman has a good chance in the slot stopped by Silovs before Draisaitl is unable to push in the rebound. Shots are 14-2 for Edmonton with Vancouver holding on defensively.

8:09: McDavid finds space on the left and walks in to force Silovs into a good save. After having no shots in a playoff game for the first time in his career in Game 1, the Oilers captain is pushing for chances with six shots so far tonight.

14:33: McDAVID SCORES ON A BREAKAWAY! After hitting the post a few minutes earlier, the Oilers captain is able to poke it past Tyler Myers in the neutral zone and beats SIlovs over the right pad before barrelling into the boards. Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard get the assists on Edmonton's crucial tying goal. 3-3.

20:00: The Oilers begin the period on the power play for 1:43 of play.

20:00: The third period is coming up with the Oilers trailing 3-2 in Game 2.

SECOND PERIOD

0.0: AFTER 40 | Vancouver 3, Edmonton 2.

14.0: McDavid is interfered within the corner by Pius Suter to create a late power play for the Oilers.

1:43: Canucks go ahead 3-2. Nikita Zadorov scores from a tight angle after crossing the Oilers' blueline and heading low with the puck.

5:20: The power play is shot-lived because of Hyman holding penalty.

5:44: After a long melee near the benches and a long discussion about penalties from the officials, it's Edmonton heading to their second power play for Pius Suter putting the puck over the glass originally.

12:12: Skinner makes the pad stop on Sam Lafferty! Edmonton's netminder stretched out to get his left pad to the winger's in-close chance.

18:44: GET THAT GOAL BACK! Mattias Ekholm scores 23 seconds later to tie things back up in Game 2 after Leon Draisaitl's backhand pass into the slot from below the goal line went through McDavid's legs, but the Swede was there coming down from the blueline to pick up the rebound in the slot and beat Silovs glove side. 2-2.

19:07: Canucks take back the lead early in the second period. While playing four-on-four, Vancouver wins an offensive-zone draw and Brock Boeser tips in the shot from Carson Soucy. 2-1.

20:00: The second period is coming up!

FIRST PERIOD

0.0: Edmonton kills off their second penalty and gets a great chance to score late in the period off a Mattias Ekholm one-timer which was saved before Hyman hit the side of the net with the rebound. 1-1 after 20 minutes with Pettersson and Draisaitl trading power-play goals.

2:39: Nugent-Hopkins is called for another penalty – this time, a soft holding call on Pettersson below the goal line.

9:04: DRAISAITL DELIVERS THE ANSWER ON THE POWER PLAY! 1-1! The German gets open in the right circle to accept the feed from down low by Connor McDavid before he beats Arturs Silovs to the far post with a snap shot. The Canucks' netminder made two big stops on him earlier in the power play.

Leon looks no worse for wear after being a game-time decision to play in this game. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins gets the second assist.

10:37: Edmonton receives their first power play with Tyler Myers hooking Zach Hyman in the slot.

15:46: Canucks goal. J.T. Miller waits to throw a cross-ice feed to Elias Pettersson for a one-timer that Stuart Skinner wasn't able to read immediately. An early PP goal for the hosts. 1-0.

16:07: Nugent-Hopkins goes hard in on the forecheck and ends up pulling the legs out from underneath Tyler Myers by mistake.
