(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) will once again be proudly celebrating diversity and inclusion in hockey, announcing today its support for Hockey is for Everyone month alongside the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA).

Hockey is for Everyone, an annual campaign, is run with all 31 NHL clubs, focusing on awareness and activities with organizations that celebrate all people who play or watch hockey, including fans of every race, colour, religion, national origin, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic status and those with disabilities.
Throughout February, the Oilers will be showcasing various local organizations, community groups and non-profits that support diversity and inclusion during home games, on social media and at EdmontonOilers.com, including:
Media will be invited to attend a Hockey is for Everyone panel discussion featuring special guests, community leaders and the Oilers Hockey is for Everyone Ambassador Jujhar Khaira, on Wednesday, February 21 in advance of Hockey is for Everyone Night on Thursday, February 22 when the Oilers face off against the Colorado Avalanche at Rogers Place. More information on this media event will be released in the coming weeks.
During Hockey is for Everyone Night, the Oilers Foundation will be selling exclusive, limited-edition Hockey is for Everyone pucks individually signed by Oilers players for only $20 each. Net proceeds will support the Oilers Foundation and You Can Play Project, a non-profit committed to supporting the LGBTQ community and fighting homophobia in sports.
