"With the young team that we have, we'll probably be a little more amped up," said Oilers veteran Matt Hendricks. "It's a good measuring stick for us. They're a good hockey team and we don't get to see them that often, with them being in the East."
In their previous meeting, the Pens edged the Oilers 4-3, despite Edmonton leading 3-1 at one point. Connor McDavid registered three assists while Sidney Crosby was held off the scoresheet.
"That was quite a long time ago, things have changed," said Hendricks. "Personnel has changed but we know what type of team they are. They're a highly offensive team and play a very fast-paced game.
"We're going to have our hands full no matter what."
