BUFFALO, N.Y. - During his media avail on Friday at the 2018 NHL Scouting Combine, Andrei Svechnikov answered all of his questions in Russian with the help of an interpreter until he was asked which players he grew up watching.
"Pavel Bure," he said. "Right now, I think (Evgeny) Kuznetsov maybe."
The 6-foot-3, 187-pound right winger then described his game in English.
"I can play a physical game, and I can play in any situation," he said in English. "I enjoy playing the penalty kill and I like playing the power play."
