It looks better for Matt Benning post-game than it did late in the third when the Oilers defenceman had to be helped off with a lower-body injury. The blueliner took a shot off the foot and was down on the ice for a few minutes.
After the game, the Oilers provided an update and the prognosis seems good.
"I don't want to jump the gun here, but he looked pretty darn good," said Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan. "He was walking around back in (the dressing room), he's got a welt but it doesn't look like there's anything broken so that's a real good sign for us."
