Oilers captain Connor McDavid had himself another multi-point night. In fact, it was McDavid's league-leading 27th multi-point night. McDavid buried a spectacular shorthanded goal - the first of his career - and chipped in an assist on Pat Maroon's first tally of the night.
With the goal and the assist, McDavid reached 91 points on the season, which leads the NHL. The captain became the first Oilers player to reach 91 points or more in a season since Doug Weight did it back in 1995-96.
It was a big night for McDavid and the Oilers, who leapfrogged San Jose to jump to second in the Pacific Division with a 3-2 win.
