EDMONTON, AB -Evan Bouchard continues to learn every day at Oilers Main Camp.
The 2018 10th-overall selection played a team-high 22:50 on Thursday versus the Winnipeg Jets, seeing some time on both the power play and penalty kill.
While he's experiencing new on-ice instances in his first crack at professional puck, Bouchard said his comfort level continues to rise as he's been doled out in different situations.
"The more you play, the more comfortable you get," said Bouchard on Saturday. "As the game progressed I got more and more comfortable."
It could be easy to get flustered as an 18-year-old killing a penalty or walking the blueline on the man-advantage but Bouchard has remained focused on the details taught during practice in order to maintain his poised play.

"Some teams, they do man-on-man. Some teams, it's a little bit of zone. You just have to adjust with whatever team you're playing with," said rookie defenceman Evan Bouchard
