EDMONTON, AB- Defenceman Ethan Bear is trending towards earning a few more looks on the Oilers top power-play unit.
The blueliner rotated in on PP1 with Darnell Nurse at Saturday's practice at the Downtown Community Arena prior to the Oilers departing to Los Angeles later in the afternoon to begin a three-game road trip against the Kings on Sunday.
"We're putting some work in," Head Coach Dave Tippett said. "It's an area we have to make sure we're on top of, so just a couple of units (at practice) seeing how they go.
"Our second unit moved the puck pretty well, Connor jumped back in on the first unit, and Bearsy and Nurse both took some reps there. So we'll see how it goes tomorrow."
