Status report
Kahkonen will make consecutive starts for the second time this season; Dell will probably start at the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Sharks coach David Quinn said following the morning skate Tuesday. … Gadjovich, a forward, took part in the morning skate and could return after missing two games because of a non-COVID illness. ... Viel, a forward, was recalled from San Jose of the American Hockey League on Monday and could make his season debut. … Reimer was placed on injured reserve Monday; Quinn said the goalie might return during the Sharks' four-game road trip. … Sturm, a center, and Ferraro, a defenseman, each is also on the trip. Quinn said Sturm is close to returning and Ferraro is week-to-week. … Allen will make his first start since allowing seven goals on 38 shots in a 7-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres a week ago. … Harris will play after being a healthy scratch the past two games and three of the past four.
