EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is calling on all Albertans to help support those affected by the wildfires in Alberta through the Oilers Playoffs 50/50 for the remainder of Round 2. From Tuesday, May 9 until the end of Round 2, net proceeds from the Oilers 50/50 will go to the Canadian Red Cross in support of the humanitarian effort to help Albertans affected by the recent wildfires across the province.

"We are all thinking of the 30,000 Albertans who have lost their homes or have had to evacuate due to wildfires," said Myrna Khan, Executive Director, Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation. "We know how frightening and devastating these wildfires are for families, and we also know that nothing matches the generosity and community support of Albertans. We encourage the entire province to rally together through the Oilers Playoffs 50/50 in support of your fellow Albertans."

The Red Cross is dedicated to helping people and communities in Canada and around the world in times of need and support them in strengthening their resilience.

"The Canadian Red Cross is working hard to assist people displaced by the wildfires impacting central and northern Alberta," said Pat Quealey, Vice President of Canadian Red Cross for Alberta and Northwest Territories. "We appreciate the generosity of the Edmonton Oilers Foundation and Oilers fans as they help Red Cross support the immediate and ongoing relief, recovery and resilience efforts in response to the fires."

The current raffle runs until 11:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10 after Game 4 and the next raffle will run from Thursday, May 11 until 11:00 PM after the final game of the Oilers second-round series against the Vegas Golden Knights.
