The Nashville Predators challenge the Dallas Stars for the second time this season (at 7:30 p.m. CT).
Nashville (17-7-3) topped the Stars, 4-1, on Oct. 12 at home and will now make two trips to Big D this month (tonight and Dec. 23). The Predators will complete a back-to-back set tonight after Pekka Rinne made 37 saves and Craig Smith recorded three points in a 5-3 win over the Boston Bruins yesterday.
The Predators were without Ryan Johansen (upper-body; day-to-day) on Monday, but did see defenseman Yannick Weber retun to action after missing 10 games with a lower-body injury.
Dallas (16-10-1) has won five in a row, including a 7-2 blasting of the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday, to claim the First Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
Nashville did not hold a morning skate on Tuesday. Below is a projected lineup based on Monday's game:
