They said it

"Just by getting a couple good wins in a row on that Western Canadian swing [Dec. 4-7] just has a way of reinvigorating that confidence and that swagger. We tweaked the lineup a little bit, we tweaked a couple of things we were doing, but mostly it was just the guys in the locker room, especially the leaders in the locker room, stayed strong and pushed things in the right direction." -- Flyers coach Dave Hakstol, on winning seven of the past eight games since losing 10 straight
"For a while we were scoring a little bit more, and when you look at clips we had net-front, we had secondary opportunities and we tried to get those dirty goals. But sometimes when you try to get too cute and over-pass, there's time to make plays for sure, but if you had a shot you just take it and sometimes that creates offense that way." -- Sabres forward Jason Pominville, on how to create more goals
