Falk is the prototype of a defensive defenseman in the NHL -- he's big (6-foot-5), strong (223 pounds) and tough.
The Minnesota Wild selected Falk in the fourth round (No. 110) in the 2007 NHL Draft. He spent one more season with Spokane of the Western Hockey League, helping to win the WHL title and the Memorial Cup before turning pro. After spending most of two seasons with Houston of the American Hockey League, he made his NHL debut March 19, 2010, against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
