Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov headlined a group of players who were issued qualifying offers before the 5 p.m. ET deadline Monday.

Kucherov, 23, scored 30 goals and led the Lightning with 66 points, his second straight season of 60 or more points, in 77 games this season.

He played the final year of his entry-level contract in 2015-16, and like any player extended a qualifying offer, will become a restricted free agent July 1 if he rejects it. The Lightning can match any offer sheet another team gives Kucherov.

Other big-name players to receive qualifying offers Monday were Calgary Flames forwards Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. Gaudreau, 22, had 30 goals and 78 points in 79 games this season. Monahan, 21, had 27 goals and a career-high 63 points in 81 games.
