WBC team hockey jerseys

The Team USA men’s hockey team knows a thing or two about winning championships, so the USA baseball team is just following suit before the World Baseball Classic final.

Before the United States takes on Venezuela in the title game on Tuesday, players arrived at loanDepot park in Miami rocking game-used hockey sweaters from Team USA’s 2026 Winter Olympic gold medal run in Milan.

Captain Aaron Judge rocked an Auston Matthews jersey, while Bryce Harper wore a Matthew Tkachuk sweater.

Pete Crow-Armstrong wore the Jack Hughes jersey, honoring the New Jersey Devils forward who scored the game-winning goal in the gold medal game against Team Canada.

“I just wanted to rep my guy (Hughes),” Crow-Armstrong said in a video posted by Fanatics. “We just want to continue the trend of winning here in the U.S. and let those guys know that they inspired us a little bit.”

Last week, U.S. manager Mark DeRosa revealed that Hughes sent the baseball team a “nice little fire up message” ahead of the tournament, and earlier in the month, Judge said the baseball team was “fired up” after watching the hockey team earn gold.

First pitch for the World Baseball Classic championship game is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
