Sebastian Aho
will make his NHL debut. Aho, 21, was recalled Thursday from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League where he had 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists) in 29 games. He was the Islanders' fifth-round pick (No. 139) in the 2017 NHL Draft.
Goalie Jonathan Bernier will start for the Avalanche, who are coming off a 4-3 overtime win against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday. Colorado is 1-1-0 in the first two games of a six-game homestand and 6-3-1 in the past 10 games. Bernier last played Dec. 16 in a 6-4 loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Islanders forward Josh Bailey has 18 points (six goals, 12 assists) in a 10-game point streak. He has eight points (two goals, six assists) in 12 games against Colorado.
