Devils team scope

The New Jersey Devils have lost four games in a row, their longest losing streak of the season. They have been outscored 19-5 during that stretch, including a 5-2 loss against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday. "You don't get out of it right away," coach John Hynes said. "You get out of it by starting to play a little bit better and getting to your game that gives you the best chance to win. I thought in the St. Louis game we did a little bit more. That was a different game than the previous games." The Devils are 3-8-3 in their past 14 games and 4-10-4 on the road this season. Michael Cammalleri needs one point for 600 in his NHL career but hasn't had a point in five games. "No one noticed until we came to Canada, so thanks for pointing that out," Cammalleri said. "First five minutes maybe we can get it out of the way. That would be nice." Goalie Keith Kinkaid will make his eighth start of the season.

Senators team scope

Ottawa Senators forward Mike Hoffman, tied for second on the team in goals with nine, will miss the game, serving the first game of a two-game suspension for crosschecking San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture on Wednesday. The Senators called up forward Casey Bailey from Binghamton of the American Hockey League on Saturday. Bailey leads Binghamton with nine goals and is tied for the team scoring lead with 14 points. After giving up three power-play goals in each of back-to-back games against the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks earlier this week, the Senators were 7-for-7, including killing off a five-minute major to Hoffman, against the Sharks. The Ottawa Senators have lost three games in a row (0-2-1) for the first time this season and are 2-4-2 in their past eight games.
