Calling Music City home is a perfect fit:
"I've always been a pretty big music guy and listen to everything from rap to country to classic rock; I can put jazz on while I'm having dinner, it's all good."
But the saxophone career wasn't happening:
"It was mandatory for a couple years in school to play an instrument. I played the sax for maybe three years. I was so awful and really didn't practice ever because I just didn't like it, so it didn't go too well."
He can't get no satisfaction:
"Ever since I was a kid, I listened to the Rolling Stones with my dad all the time on road trips. I'm a huge fan of theirs, and I know their glory days are far over but I'd sure love to see them in concert. I really like 'Wild Horses,' 'Angie,' I like those songs a lot, but the classics like 'Can't Get No Satisfaction,' 'Beast of Burden,' 'Gimme Shelter,' 'Jumpin' Jack Flash,' they're all good."
And those road trips made quite an impact:
"My dad has always been a big idol in my life, hockey wise, and just becoming a man. Another idol would be Mick Jagger, he's the man."
Binge watching is a must:
"I usually always have a tv series on the go. We spend a lot of time on the plane, so that takes up a lot of my time. I've been watching The Blacklist on Netflix lately, I'm watching Vikings right now, so those are my two I got going on right now. But Game of Thrones, that's my jam right there."
He always eats - and cooks - his vegetables:
"I'm a bit of a foodie, and I like to cook. All my recipes are from my mom - shout-out to Debbie. I have this salmon dish that I like to make and I usually just throw a little bit of mayo, little bit of dill on top and just some roasted potatoes, some brussels sprouts; I can make some good brussels sprouts."
Canadians are notorious for being friendly, but:
"I think the first thing that caught my attention is just how nice people are down here in Nashville, like really pleasant people everywhere you go, really kind people. I like that."
And even though it's across the street from his office, there's somewhere he still hasn't been yet:
"I still need to get to a concert at the Ryman. Add that to my bucket list."
