Goalie Thomas Greiss, who has won his past three starts including a 35-save shutout in a 3-0 victory against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday, is expected to start for New York. The Islanders are outscoring opponents 20-7 during their five-game winning streak.
Goalie Antti Niemi will make his first start for the Canadiens since Oct. 25. He is 3-1-1 with a 2.76 goals-against average and .906 save percentage in six games against the Islanders.
