The 23-year-old forward was acquired in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks for defenseman prospect Alec Regula on Monday. Perlini played one game this season with the Blackhawks, on Oct. 12. Detroit ended its eight-game winless streak (0-7-1) with a 3-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday. The Hurricanes will go for their third straight win. Goaltender Petr Mrazek will try for his 15th straight win at home, including the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, dating to Feb. 16. He's 6-1-1 with a 2.24 goals-against average and .917 save percentage in eight games this season.
