MacKinnon is expected miss three games after the forward was injured during the first period of a 4-3 overtime win against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday. Coach Jared Bednar said the hope is MacKinnon can play after the break for the 2022 Honda NHL All-Star Game on Feb. 5. Bednar said he was unsure if MacKinnon would be able to play in the All-Star Game.
