Pittsburgh has allowed two goals or fewer in each of its eight consecutive victories, which is its longest streak this season. If the Penguins win a ninth in a row, it would be their longest streak since winning 15 straight from March 2-30, 2013.
The Blackhawks have lost two straight after winning five of their previous six (5-1-0). They defeated the Penguins 6-3 at United Center on Dec. 12, when six different Blackhawks scored and Jonathan Toews had three points (one goal, two assists).
Chicago has won its past seven games against Pittsburgh since losing 4-1 on March 25, 2015.

Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane has 14 points (eight goals, six assists) in his past nine games, and 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in his past 15.
Penguins forward Sidney Crosby has 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) during a six-game point streak. He has 19 points (four goals, 15 assists) in his past 11 games.

Status report

Caggiula will make his Blackhawks debut after being acquired in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 31. His debut was delayed until he received visa clearance. ... Schultz, who has not played since Oct. 13, skated on his own for the first time before Pittsburgh's practice Saturday.
