Dumoulin took a puck to the head from Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux during a 5-1 win Tuesday and is day to day with a concussion, Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said.
Pittsburgh will attempt to win consecutive games for the first time since Dec. 1-2, when it defeated the Buffalo Sabres twice by a combined score of 9-1. The Penguins are 4-7-0 in their past 11 games and have been held to one goal or fewer in five of their past 10 games.

Carolina (44 points) holds the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference, tied with the New York Islanders (the Hurricanes have played one fewer game) and one point ahead of Pittsburgh.
