The Ducks have won 22 straight games at home against the Flames, with Calgary's last win in Anaheim on Jan. 19, 2004. It's the longest home win streak against any opponent in team history, but it's not something the Ducks are discussing as they try and gain ground in the Pacific Division standings.
With 94 points, Anaheim is one point behind the division-leading Los Angeles Kings and two ahead of the San Jose Sharks with a game in hand.
"We don't talk about it," Boudreau said. "We just go out there and take every game as a different entity. Hopefully we'll be successful tonight and wake up every morning and go, 'Oh yeah, it's another win. That's good.'"
The Flames, 0-4-0 against Anaheim this season, don't talk about the streak, either, but they are aware of it.
"We hear about it every time we come here," Calgary forward Brandon Bollig said. "We aren't focusing on it too much, but that's definitely a streak that we no longer want to be a topic of conversation. Hopefully we'll end that tonight."
Calgary is coming off of what the team described as an 'emotional win' at the Arizona Coyotes on Monday. Despite injuries to several key players, coach Bob Hartley sees games like the one against the Ducks and the game on Thursday against the Kings as an opportunity for their young replacements to grow.
"You're talking maybe two teams that may possibly end up in a Stanley Cup Final, so it's great gauges for us and we have to take advantage of that," Hartley said. "We know the challenges that the Ducks represent for us, and we like them. We want to measure ourselves to teams that are challenging for a Stanley Cup, and I think we have a lot to learn."
Jonas Hiller was the first goalie off the ice for Calgary. John Gibson will start for Anaheim.
