The Bruins, who clinched a Stanley Cup Playoffs berth on Wednesday and are 8-2-2 in their past 12 games, are six points behind the Tampa Bay Lightning for the Atlantic Division lead and five points ahead of the third-place Toronto Maple Leafs. Boston has two games in hand on Tampa Bay and Toronto.
The Stars, 0-4-2 in their past six games, look to avoid their seventh straight defeat, which would mark their longest losing streak since they were 0-5-2 from Oct. 25-Nov. 8, 2014.
Dallas is four points behind the Anaheim Ducks for the second wild card into the playoffs from the Western Conference with eight regular-season games to play.
