The Boston Bruins didn't have a morning skate after opening a three-game road trip Saturday with a 2-1 win against the Arizona Coyotes. They are 3-1-0 in their past four games and 5-2-0 in their past seven. Goalie Tuukka Rask made 31 saves and is 9-1-0 with a 1.69 goals-against average and .941 save percentage. He's won three games in a row but hasn't played both ends of a back-to-back set this season, so rookie Zane McIntyre could start. McIntyre made 20 saves Tuesday in a 3-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens in the second game of a back-to-back set. He's 0-2-0 with a 4.03 goals-against average and .859 save percentage. Coach Claude Julien said the Bruins have to play better than they did in the second and third periods against the Coyotes. "We came out in the second, looked like we were a team that thought it was going to be an easy night, and stopped doing the things that we'd done so well," he said. "It's important to us, we'll take it, but we need to be better moving forward." Rookie defenseman Brandon Carlo is from Colorado Springs and is looking forward to playing his first game at Pepsi Center. "I have plenty of family and friends coming up, probably too many for me to handle, but overall I think it will be a lot of fun, a great experience," Carlo told the Boston Herald. "It's pretty crazy. I used to go to games in that building and watch the Avalanche play and now I'll be out there competing against those guys." Right wing David Pastrnak has 10 goals, tied for the second in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins' Sidney Crosby and Winnipeg Jets' Mark Scheifele.
