REMATCH
Hard to forget it was the Montreal Canadiens who ended the Jets run in the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs in the North Division Final. The two teams face one another for the first time since then. The Jets clearly have that in the back of their mind while they also desperately need the two points, they are six points out of a playoff spot. Of the teams that they are chasing, Edmonton and Anaheim are in action tonight.

SVECH CONSISTENT
Evgeny Svechnikov found his way back into the top six on the road trip reuniting with Pierre-Luc Dubois and Kyle Connor. Dave Lowry wanted to see more consistency from Svechnikov, and he has got that from the 25-year-old. Svechnikov has been going to the front of the net a lot more and has been rewarded with two goals in two games plus an assist. Svechnikov is playing with more urgency as well and because of that will remain with Dubois and Connor tonight against Montreal.
BEAULIEU SOLID
Nathan Beaulieu may be known as a more defensive defenceman but there is still an offensive side to his game. The 29-year-old has three assists in his last two games and has found a solid pairing with Nate Schmidt. Beaulieu was also second on the team with four hits against the Coyotes at Gila River Arena on Sunday afternoon.
PERREAULT BACK IN WINNIPEG
For the first time since signing with Montreal as a free agent, Mathieu Perreault comes back to Winnipeg to face the Jets. Perreault played seven seasons with the Jets and put up 230 points in 455 regular season games. He has three goals and an assist in 15 games with the Habs this season. The Canadiens arrive in Winnipeg having won five games in a row and are looking like a much better team since Martin St. Louis took over as interim head coach. Montreal does remain in the bottom of the Atlantic and Eastern Conference standings but are starting to see life under St. Louis.
