ANOTHER SOLID ROAD GAME
The Jets played a near perfect road game in Calgary but were not rewarded in the end after a 3-1 loss to the Flames. The Flames are a highly efficient, shot volume team and the Jets locked them down especially in the third period where Calgary fired only six shots. Winnipeg limited their slot chances and kept most of them to the outside. A perfect formula to put into play this evening against the Dallas Stars.

OPPORTUNITY FOR SVECH
Adam Brooks made his Jets debut on the right side of the Pierre-Luc Dubois and Kyle Connor against the Flames. But in the third period, Evgeny Svechnikov played with Dubois and Connor. Wednesday morning, it was announced that Svechnikov will get another shot in the Jets top six forward group. Svechnikov is great with the puck in tight spaces and will need to move his feet to be effective here in Dallas.
BEAU'S IN
Nathan Beaulieu will be in the lineup this evening on the Jets third defence pairing with Nate Schmidt. Beaulieu hasn't played since January 27th against the Vancouver Canucks missing most of that time with a lower body injury. He played a season high 21:34 in that game at the end of January.
SCHEIF LIKES SEEING STARS
Mark Scheifele, who has 37 points (17G, 20A) in 31 career games against Dallas, is on a six-game point streak against the Stars (4G, 4A). Scheifele will continue to centre Paul Stastny and Blake Wheeler, tonight marks the ninth consecutive game they have played together. They have combined for 26 points (11G, 15A) since February 8th.
STARS COMING OFF A LOSS
Dallas closed out a three-game road trip with a 3-1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes and currently sit four points ahead of the Jets in the Western Conference standings. The Stars come into tonight's game having won eight of their last twelve games (8-4-0) at American Airlines Centre. They are 17-7-1 on home ice in 2021-22, with those 17 wins on home ice putting them tied for fifth in the NHL. Forward Jason Robertson has tallied points (4-1-5) in four of his last five games in Dallas. He is 16th in the NHL and leads the team with 28 points at home this season. He scored the game winner in overtime the last time these two teams met here on February 11th.
