ELMONT, NY. -After Pyotr Kochetkov made his NHL debut in net for the Canes yesterday, it is expected that the team will turn to Antti Raanta today against the Islanders.
Kochetkov stopped 17 out of 19 yesterday afternoon and now Raanta will try for a third consecutive win. The veteran netminder picked up a win in his first trip back to Arizona on Monday, then turned away 20 out of 22 to take a victory over Winnipeg on Thursday. The two are the Canes current tandem as Frederik Andersen remains out of the lineup with a lower-body injury. He is expected to be reevaluated in the next few days. No further lineup information was available this morning at Rod Brind'Amour's pregame media availability.
