BOSTON, MA. -As one door closes, another one opens in the case of the Carolina Hurricanes lineup tonight.

Defenseman Jaccob Slavin, who entered COVID-19 Protocol in Philadelphia one week ago, is back with the team and expected to play tonight after missing two games. The club's time on ice leader practiced Monday at PNC Arena and was ruled good to go for tonight at TD Garden.
On the other end of things Martin Necas will not play this evening after entering COVID-19 Protocol Monday. The now 23-year-old, who celebrated his birthday Saturday, will also be missed after recording multiple points in the 4-1 victory over Vancouver.
This allows Nino Niederreiter to jump up into the lineup and Derek Stepan, who was a healthy scratch Saturday, to draw in.
The projected Canes lineup for this evening is as follows:
Forwards:
Teravainen - Aho - Jarvis
Svechnikov - Trocheck - Niederreiter

Martinook - Kotkaniemi - Stepan

Slavin - DeAngelo
Skjei - Pesce
