The Carolina Hurricanes will debut their new third jerseys in game action when they face off with the New York Rangers on Sunday afternoon.
It will mark the first of 14 times the Hurricanes will wear their black jerseys at home in the 2018-19 season, but they'll also bring a pop of color on the road for 12 games.

The team will wear its red uniforms for four road games: Dec. 13 in Montreal, Jan. 3 in Philadelphia, Feb. 21 in Florida and Feb. 23 in Dallas. The Canes will also don their new third uniforms once on Oct. 22 in Detroit. Finally, the team will wear its Whalers throwback kit on March 5 in Boston. In each of these instances, the home opponents will wear their white sweaters.
UPDATE (Dec. 1): The Hurricanes will wear red three additional times on the road on the entirety of their three-game road trip through California, and a color (red) vs. color (black) match-up will be featured on Friday, Dec. 7 in Anaheim.
ANOTHER UPDATE (Feb. 4): The Hurricanes will wear red another three times on the road during their season-long, five-game road trip in February. The Rangers requested to wear white on Feb. 8 for their 25th anniversary celebration of the 1994 Stanley Cup championship team, so the Canes will wear red in that game, as well as on Feb. 7 in Buffalo and Feb. 12 in Ottawa. The team will wear its standard road white sweaters on Feb. 5 in Pittsburgh and Feb. 10 in New Jersey.
