The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Oliver Moore on a five-year contract extension ($4.25 million salary cap hit). The contract will begin in the 2027-28 season and will run through the 2031-32 season.
Moore, 21, set career highs with Chicago last season in games played (51), goals (5), assists (14) and points (19). Moore ranked third among club rookies in goals, assists and points. He also skated in nine contests with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League (AHL), totaling nine points (6G, 3A).
The 5-foot-11, 192-pound forward has compiled 23 points (5G, 18A) in 60 career NHL games with the Blackhawks. He made his NHL debut on March 30, 2025 against the Utah Mammoth, and scored his first career NHL goal last season on Nov. 9, 2025 in Detroit against the Red Wings.
A native of Mounds View, Minn., Moore skated in 77 career NCAA games with Minnesota from 2023-25, registering 66 points (21G, 45A). The forward was named to the 2024 Big Ten All-Rookie Team following his freshman season. Internationally, Moore made his IIHF World Championship debut with Team USA in 2026, tallying three helpers. He also won back-to-back gold medals with Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championships (2024, 2025), totaling eight points (2G, 6A) in 14 games. He also won gold at the 2023 IIHF World U18 Championship, recording nine points (4G, 5A) in seven games.
Moore was originally selected by the Blackhawks in the first round (19th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft.
