The Chicago Blackhawks Alumni Association brings together former players who share a commitment to giving back to the community that has supported them throughout their careers.

Through charitable initiatives, fundraising events, community engagement and alumni programming, the Association continues to make a meaningful impact across Chicagoland while celebrating the legacy of Blackhawks hockey.

Our Legacy

Founded in 1987 by a group of retired Blackhawks players, the Chicago Blackhawks Alumni Association was built on a simple mission: give back to Chicago and the game of hockey. The organization was founded on three core principles—supporting young athletes through scholarships, serving charitable causes throughout the community and embracing a "Players Helping Players" commitment to fellow alumni.

For nearly four decades, the Association has carried that mission forward through scholarships, charitable giving, fundraising events and community outreach programs that have positively impacted individuals and organizations across Illinois.

Today, as part of the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation, the Alumni Association is building on that legacy with expanded opportunities to support the community, engage generations of Blackhawks alumni and further strengthen its impact for years to come.
